What makes this a two-sided mattress?
Both faces are upholstered and quilted with a pillowtop, so either side can be slept on. The underside is a finished sleeping surface held in reserve, not a bare base. That is a construction choice made when the mattress is built, so it is not something that can be added to a one-sided bed later.
How often should I flip the two-sided mattress?
Turn it over about every six months so the rested face takes over, and rotate it head-to-foot every three to six months so your weight lands in different places along the length. The two jobs are different, and both help the mattress age evenly.
What is the difference between the set, mattress only, and boxspring only options?
The set is the mattress with a matching boxspring. Mattress only and boxspring only let you replace one piece when the other is still sound. Choose based on the condition of what you already own, because a tired boxspring pulls a new mattress down into the same hollow.
Why would I need a split boxspring?
Boxsprings are rigid, and a one-piece unit frequently will not make the turn at the top of a staircase or through a tight doorway. A split boxspring solves that without forcing you down to a smaller bed.
Can I use this on an adjustable base?
Generally no. Adjustable bases are built around mattresses that bend one way only, so a flippable build is the wrong pairing. Call us at 615-819-2772 and we’ll point you to the models made for an adjustable base.
Can I put it on a slatted platform bed?
Yes, as long as the slats sit close enough together that you cannot feel the gaps through the mattress. Widely spaced slats let the upholstery settle between them and create ridges that flipping will not correct.
Does it come in different firmness levels?
Yes. The Elite Premier is offered in multiple firmness options, so you can match the feel to how you sleep and your body type rather than settle for one fixed feel.
