Does the power station need to be hardwired?
No. The built-in power bank has two AC outlets and two USB ports and plugs into a standard wall socket, so you set the bar where you want it and run one cord to the wall. The machine and your phone both charge from the bar itself.
How many K-cups does it hold?
Twenty-five, in a built-in holder that keeps them sorted rather than loose in a drawer. Combined with the pull-out bin for used pods, the whole Keurig routine stays contained in the one piece instead of spread across a counter.
What is the pull-out top for?
It gives you a work surface when you're making coffee and slides away when you're done, so a fairly compact footprint gains counter space on demand. Useful if the bar sits somewhere you don't have room for a permanent landing area.
Will this fit under standard kitchen cabinets?
Not under uppers. At 60.75 inches tall it's designed to stand on its own against a wall rather than tuck under cabinetry. Measure your wall height and clearance before ordering, and call us if you're unsure.
Can I use it somewhere other than the kitchen?
Yes. The built-in power and storage make it work as a home-office coffee station, a dry bar in a dining room, or a beverage station in a finished basement. Anywhere you'd want hot drinks without a trip to the kitchen.
Why is it only offered in rough sawn brown maple?
The rough-sawn texture is what gives this bar its rustic character, so it's built in that wood specifically. You still choose the stain, and we send a sample on the actual wood before building so you can see how the texture takes the color.
Is a coffee bar worth it over just using the counter?
It depends on your kitchen. If counter space disappears to the coffee setup every morning, a dedicated bar gives that back and keeps the pods, mugs, and machine in one spot. If you've got counter to spare, it's more about the look than the function.
