What do the butterfly images on your table selections mean?
Butterflies shown throughout our website indicated which tables can support a butterfly leaf option. Two blue butterflies indicate double pedestal or trestle tables that can have up to two butterfly leaves. A single blue butterfly indicates the table can support a single butterfly leaf. A yellow butterfly indicates a single pedestal table that can support a single butterfly leaf. Butterfly leaves conveniently self-store inside the table!
Where is your furniture made?
All of our furniture is made in the United States, by American craftsmen. Most of our furniture makers reside in either Ohio or Indiana.
I want a product I see in a wood type that's not listed. Is that possible?
Yes, we can have your product made in just about any solid hardwood type. Our standard wood types are Brown Maple, Cherry, Oak, Quartersawn White Oak and their rustic or sap variations. However, we can also make furniture in Hickory, Elm, Hard Maple, Walnut and other hardwoods not listed. Just get in touch if interested.
I need something quick – is it possible to get something quicker than what's listed on your website?
Yes, we have a variety of quick-ship items available for shipment within 15-30 days. Depending on your location, we may be able to have furniture to you within 30 days. Additionally, certain items can be produced even more quickly for a quick-ship fee of 10%. If your product is not listed as a quick ship item and you would still like it as quickly as possible, let us know the item and we will provide an estimated ship date within 24-48 hours.
Will you hold my furniture if my house isn't ready?
Yes! If you’re in the process of building a new home, or moving, and would like to get your order started but are worried your house won’t be ready before your furniture arrives, no worries. We will hold your furniture for up to three months at no additional charge.
How should I care for my furniture?
Caring for your solid wood furniture is simple and easy. Simply use a damp micro-fiber cloth to dust. Occasionally, if you would like to add some luster, we recommend using Guardsman Wood cleaning products. Don’t use any cleaning solutions such as Pledge or Endust. Those products contain silicon, which may break down your finish over time.
How long will it take to get my furniture?
Good things take time. Our products are not sitting in a warehouse waiting to be plucked off the shelf when you place your order. Each order is hand made to your preferences. Our standard delivery time for your wood furniture order is generally between 8-12 weeks. For poly-lumber outdoor products we have a wide assortment that will ship between 3-5 business days. And if you see the quick-ship designation, this product will ship within 14-21 days.
Can I get samples before I place my order?
Yes, if you would like to order wood and stain samples before placing your order, you may do so here (hyperlink to wood and stains order page). If you decide to place an order after receiving your samples, the cost of the stain samples will be credited to your purchase.
How far will you deliver?
The Amish House will make deliveries in contiguous United States. We will not make deliveries to Alaska or Hawaii, or internationally, except by previous agreement with the customer.
Does your furniture come with a warranty?
Yes. All outdoor poly-lumber furniture comes with a residential limited lifetime warranty covering any defective product or part.
All other wood furniture we sell comes with a ONE YEAR warranty against any craftsmanship defects or workmanship. If, within ONE YEAR of receiving your item it is determined the product is defective for the above stated reasons, we will repair or replace the items to your satisfaction. To resolve a product issue, please be prepared to send us photographs that show the problem.
What is not covered: Normal use and wear, commercial grade use, misuse, improper installation, or lack of care.
What if my furniture is damaged during shipping?
All of our furniture is delivered through private carriers and is insured. If, upon the arrival of your furniture you discover damage, you must notify your delivery team before they leave the premises. Our team will either repair to your satisfaction, or a new piece will be ordered and delivered to you at no additional charge.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you may cancel your order up to seventy-two hours after purchase (although we don’t know why you would!) If you placed your order with a credit card and cancel after the first day, your deposit will be returned less a 5% processing fee. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us. We are here to help, and want your experience with The Amish House to be a positive one.
