Cherry wood has long been desired by furniture makers due to its even color distribution when stained and glass like smoothness when finished. It is moderately heavy, hard and strong.

Sap cherry will offer more grain variation, and may contain some minor mineral deposits. Rustic cherry will contain mineral deposits, knot holes, and other natural wood characteristics that will be retained by the craftsman if you select Rustic Cherry as your wood option.
